Jackson Wrede is an award-winning painter whose studio is located in Grand Rapids, MI. Wrede grew up in the suburbs of Chicago before attending the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate studies. He later received his MFA in 2021 from the Kendall College of Art & Design.

After graduating, he decided to stay in Grand Rapids, where he now works as a full-time painter. At 27 years of age, Jackson Wrede has gained recognition as one of the top realist painters in Michigan, with his artwork now in private collections, galleries, and institutions across the country. He has been awarded several prizes in both regional and national art exhibitions, including Grand Prizes in the 42nd Annual Michigan Fine Arts Competition held in Birmingham, MI and the 79th Annual Wabash Valley Exhibition at the Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute, IN.

He was recognized as one of Southwest Art magazine’s “21 Under 31 (Years Old), Young Artists to Watch” in 2023.
