Provenance: Purchased from Montcalm Gallery, Greenville, Michigan 1973. From the late 60s into the early 70s, Gilot had a close relationship with Montcalm Gallery, often coming to stay at the owner's home for weeks at a time.

For context, the theme of " Yellow " refers to Gilot thinking back at her time with Picasso.
